Who connects: İbrâhîm Müteferrika – international conference organised by the NSZL in Ankara

Under the auspices of the Hungarian-Turkish Cultural Year, the NSZL organised a symposium in cooperation with the Presidential National Library in Ankara. The focus of the event on 21 May 2024 was the oeuvre of the Transylvanian-born diplomat and founder of printing press, İbrâhîm Müteferrika.

On 16 May 2024, the most recently published corvinas on the Bibliotheca Corvina Virtualis site were presented at a press conference in the Founder’s Hall of the NSZL.

On International Day of Families, the national library will be open to the public again. With games, guided tours and exhibitions, we want to create an opportunity for everyone to spend quality time with those they share a home with.
Contemporary Greek poet visited our institution

On the occasion of her visit to Budapest, the Greek poetess Stella Petridou visited the National Library of Foreign Literature and viewed the exhibitions of the national library.

Due to technical reasons, the NSZL will be closed on Thursday, 9 May 2024. On Friday, 10 May, we will be open as usual!
The IAML Hungary held its General Assembly in the NSZL

On 17 April 2024, the National Library hosted the 2024 General Assembly of Hungary of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML), where the Head of the Music Collection of the NSZL gave a presentation to the audience.
Highly successful cooperation between the national library and the Haydneum

The Haydneum – Hungarian Centre for Early Music Foundation held its annual press conference on 17 April 2024, where the results of the joint cooperation with the Hungarian National Library were presented.
The national library also represented itself at the Connect Conference

Director General Dávid Rózsa presented our library to PR and communication professionals at the Connect Conference on 11 April 2024.
Significant book donation to the Pribeník Library in Slovakia

In line with its mission, the NSZL donated 453 books to the library of Pribeník on 11 April 2024 to improve its book collection. The NSZL also presented more than 140 colouring and activity books to local preschool and primary school children. 
The Forms of Time – The temporary exhibition in our library has opened

The temporary exhibition, which will run for three months, began with a grand opening on 11 April 2024.
