Extraordinary opening hours on Tuesday

Please note that on Tuesday, 4 March 2025,
our library will be open exceptionally at 11.00.

 

During the day there will be vehicle and pedestrian restrictions in the Castle area.

 

  • From the morning hours, the route St. George Street - St. George Square will be closed, as well as the Lion Courtyard and the Hunyadi Courtyard.
  • From 10.30 until the Beggar's Gate, the closures will be lifted (Lion's Courtyard - Hunyadi Courtyard), and the National Library will be open from 11.00.    
  • From 13.00, the Szent György Street - Dísz Square - Palace Road will be closed again, probably until 14.20 and between 16.00 and 16.30.​
