“Picture the Great War”, an album published by NSZL, won an award at Festive Book Week 2015. Our volume, commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of World War I, presents special, until now unknown pictures of the war. Over 600 images have been selected from our collection comprising tens of thousands of items, mainly period depictions of both battles and hinterland.
[1]On the opening day of the 86th Festive Book Week [2], Beautiful Hungarian Book 2014 awards ceremony took place in Vigadó Concert Hall, Budapest. “Picture the Great War”, a volume published by Osiris Publishing House and National Széchényi Library, won a certificate of merit in its category and it was also granted a special award of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. At the awards ceremony, the Prime Minister was represented by historian György Granasztói who praised the album with appreciative words. Congratulations to our colleagues and we suggest our readers to consider this album.
