Organized by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the Hungarian Institute in Sofia and Szépírók Társasága (Writers Association), a conference entitled “Contemporary Hungarian Literature in the Context of Bulgarian Literary Translation” will be held in Sofia on May 20, 2016. Our literary historian colleagues Beatrix Visy and László Boka will also attend the conference.
Organized by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the Hungarian Institute in Sofia and Szépírók Társasága (Writers Association), a conference entitled “Contemporary Hungarian Literature in the Context of Bulgarian Literary Translation” will be held in Sofia on May 20, 2016.
The aim of the conference is to edit and publish a collection, from which readers and university students interested in Hungarian literature can get information on the works of Hungarian writers and poets published in Bulgarian. Fifteen lectures will be delivered at the conference, and issues related to the state financing of Hungarian literature and the sponsoring of literary translation will be discussed at a round-table discussion.
