On Friday October 13, 2017, National Széchényi Library will host a professional day focusing on archiving internet content and on related tasks public collections are facing.
On Friday October 13, 2017, National Széchényi Library will host a professional day entitled 404 Not Found – Who will preserve the internet? on the tasks of public collections related to the archiving of online content. The event will be held in the Ceremonial Hall on Floor 6 of NSZL between 10:00 and 13:30. In the first two hours, four keynote lectures will be delivered, followed by an informal discussion with the participants about the topics raised.
Planned lectures:
György Kampis, professor of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) will report on a web harvest and news site archiving performed, mainly for science-metric purposes, by PetaByte Nonprofit Research Ltd. in the early 2010s.
