On Thursday November 14, 2019, starting at 10.30 and lasting until 14.30, National Széchényi Library will host a professional day on the tasks of public collections related to the archiving of web and other internet content. The professional day, entitled “404 Not Found – Who will preserve the internet?” is a sequel to the ones held on November 15, 2018 and on October 13, 2017.

CERL Seminar in NSZL

Orientalists in NSZL – A Hafez manuscript in the Library of Pannonhalma Archabbey

Research of a mysterious Persian manuscript discovered in Pannonhalma will be presented by the next, April lecture of Season 4 of cultural historical series entitled “Orientalits in NSZL”. As part of the series featuring internationally renowned Hungarian researchers into the East, the lecture will be delivered by Éva Jeremiás, Iranist, professor emerita of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE).

Orientalists in NSZL – Lecture by Gyula Wojtilla: Thoughts on Buddha and the birth of a world religion

The March speaker of the series featuring internationally renowned experts of Hungarian research into the East will be Gyula Wojtilla, indologist, ancient historian, Professor Emeritus of the University of Szeged who, in his lecture, will present research into the Indian origin and some new dilemmas of Buddhism.
