We would like to inform our readers and visitors that the library will be closed on Friday, 23 October 2026, as it is a national holiday in Hungary, as well as on Saturday, 24 October.

We look forward to welcoming you back from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 27 October, during our usual opening hours!

 

Registering for a Reader Pass:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 10.00–17.00
  • Friday and Saturday: 9.00–18.00

 

Reading Rooms of the General Collection:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 10.00–18.00
  • Friday and Saturday: 9.00–19.00

Repository requests can be submitted: from Tuesday to Thursday and on Saturday until 17.00, on Friday until 18.00.

 

Special Collections:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 10.00–18.00
  • Friday and Saturday: 9.00–19.00

Requests for documents belonging to the Special Collections can be submitted until 16.30 the day before your planned visit during weekdays and for Saturday until 13.00 on Friday.

 

Historical Photo and Video Collection:

  • Friday: 9.00–19.00

 

Library of Book History, Library and Information Science:
