One of the key tasks of the national library is the coordination of issues related to library standardization, including the preparation of library standards, rules and recommendations. We are pleased to inform you about positive developments in this field.

Entitled Comics as Narrative. The 9th Art and its Icons in Hungary, our exhibition will be opened at 4 p.m. on Monday May 14, 2018. Organized jointly by the Hungarian Comics Association and National Széchényi Library, the exhibition will present some major chapters in the history of Hungarian comics.

The Hungarian Comics Association and NSZL will open a joint exhibition on May 14, 2018, in order to present some major chapters in the history of Hungarian comics. The exhibition focuses not only on comics as an independent art form and a possible way of self-expression, but also on comic adaptations and the Hungarian literary works that have inspired them.

On the occasion of the International Dance Day, National Széchényi Library cordially invites you to the presentation ceremony of a book by Katalin Lőrinc entitled Body As Text.

From 10 a.m. on Friday April 20, 2018, the Hungarian Library Institute will hold a professional workshop day entitled Library Spaces of the Future as part of the Modern Library, Advanced Services – K2 further training series in the Ceremonial Hall of National Széchényi Library.

At 5 p.m. on April 25, 2018, Professor István Vásáry will deliver a lecture entitled Survival of the Turkish-Mongolian tradition in the Persian and Turkish chancelleries of Timur and the Timurids (1370–1506) in National Széchényi Library.

Professor Krasimira Aleksandrova, Directress of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library of Bulgaria paid a visit to National Széchényi Library.
