The International Association of Gulag Researchers will hold an international conference entitled “Gulag Researchers, 7th District of Budapest, Carpathian Basin – Málenkij robot, remembrance” in National Széchényi Library.

Published jointly by NSZL and Kriterion Publishing House, the first two volumes of the Collected Works of Aladár Kuncz were presented in Transylvania.

A unique exhibition, organized in cooperation with and professionally supported by National Széchényi Library, will be opened by the Hungarian National Museum and co-organizer NSZL in Székesfehérvár. The exhibition entitled In Plural will be opened at 5 p.m. on April 14, 2016.

The exhibition presenting Jewish literacy is part of the BudapestArtWeek program series. The opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday April 19, 2016, in National Relic exhibition space on Floor 5 of National Széchényi Library.

Hussar officer János Lipszky was born 250 years ago, on April 10, 1766. He was famous not so much for his military deeds as for what he had achieved in the field of Hungarian science and culture.Celebrating the 250^th anniversary of János Lipszky’s birth, National Széchényi Library and the National Archives of Hungary organized a memorial exhibition.

Károly Escher, cameraman and outstanding photo artist of the era between the two world wars, died fifty years ago.

You are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled “General map of the Kingdom of Hungary, 1804-1810”, organized by National Széchényi Library and the National Archives of Hungary. Accompanied by a conference, the event will start at 10 a.m. on Monday April 11, 2016.
