Every year National Széchényi Library greets the birthday of Hungary’s major national relic by prestigious events and also by an Open Day for its visitors. This year our programs will focus on three important events.

Double book launch

On November 19, 2015, National Széchényi Library and the Institute of History of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University will hold a double book launch at 4.30 p.m., in the Ceremonial Hall on Floor 6 of the Library.

Director-general of National Széchényi Library Dr. László Tüske, Géza Szőcs, Chief Counselor of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Library Board of Trustees, and Sándor Rácz and Mária Rácz-Kernya, owners of VIKTORIA-R Shop cordially invite you and your honored friends to the opening ceremony of László Bíró memorial exhibition that will take place on Thursday November 12, 2015, at 11 a.m., in the Ceremonial Hall of National Széchényi Library.

Welcome speech will be delivered by Director-General Dr. László Tüske.

Presentation of recent OCLC development and systems

On November 17, 2015, our series of ILS presentations will come to an end with the fourth such event held this year. Presented will be OCLC’s latest systems (WorldCat and WMS).

The presentation will be held in English; no translation will be provided. Entry to the show is free but previous registration on the internet is required.
