Bookshop – different opening hours

Dear Visitors,

This week, the Bookshop of NSZL will have different opening hours than usually.

  • On Wednesday and Thursday, it will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.,
  • on Friday it will be closed, and
  • on Saturday the shop will be open to visitors from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Open Sesame! – Book presentation and discussion

Entitled Orientalists in NSZL, a lecture series presenting the culture of the East will begin on February 8, 2017.  On the first occasion, books on the Islamic State and the idea historical as well as geopolitical aspects of Islamism will be presented, and there will be a discussion with the authors of the books.

Typography of Nagyvárad – book presentation

Tipográfia régtől fogva (Typography Since Olden Times), a book published jointly by NSZL and Argumentum Publishing House, was presented in Oradea (Nagyvárad) on the Day of the Hungarian Culture. This recent album on printing history features five gap-filling studies on 450 years of typography in Nagyvárad. Historian Attila Lakatos was talking to the two editors of the book, literary historian László Boka, Director of Research and Academic Affairs (NSZL) and Oradea archivist András Emődi.
