Mercurius is a professional yearbook published annually by National Széchényi Library which, following on the tasks of the former OSZK Híradó (NSZL News) and NSZL yearbooks, has been regularly reporting on the international cooperation of the Library, on conferences held in the given period, on major exhibitions, including the exhibition entitled Propaganda in World War I

You can learn the characteristic dances of eight regions of Hungary from the comfort of your home with the help of National Széchényi Library. Teaching of the dances will start at 7 p.m. on Fridays, and it will be presented by members of the most outstanding children's ensembles, the winners of the Szarvas Children's Solo Dance Festival.

Applicants for the position of Director-General of National Széchényi Library have been interviewed as required by law.

Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler, Minister of Human Capacities, with effect from March 16, 2020, appointed Dávid Rózsa as Director-General of National Széchényi Library.

In view of the international and Hungarian virus situation, National Széchényi Library suspended organizing guided group tours of exhibitions, will not welcome visitor groups, or hold public and professional events after March 10, 2020.

The reading rooms and exhibitions of National Széchényi Library can still be visited by private individuals.

NSZL kindly asks its visitors and readers to follow and embrace the guidelines and regulations of the competent authorities to avoid any risk of viral infection.
