On December 5, 2018, Director-General of National Széchényi Library (NSZL) László Tüske and Szabolcs Szuromi Anzelm OPraem, Rector of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU) signed a cooperation agreement in Buda Royal Palace.
Between December 12 and 14, 2018, Library publications including decorative albums and most beautiful books will be on sale at a 30–40–50% discount price in the bookshop of NSZL.
At the chamber exhibition, maps made between 1909 and 1919 are on display, which can be regarded as special, since they show temporary conditions before the formation of the final borders. Border disputes of World War I come alive on nearly 30 maps, period posters, postcards and photographs.
This year marks not only the 170th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849, but also the 190th anniversary of the birth and the 150th anniversary of the death of Júlia Szendrey who played an active role in the revolution.
