The 8th World Congress of Hungarian Librarians will be held on November 6 and 7, 2018. The slogan for this year’s program is the following: European Culture – National Heritage.

The General Reading Room will be closed temporarily

Dear Readers,

Hereby we inform you that due to technical reasons, the General Reading Room of National Széchényi Library will be closed temporarily. Stock stored on free shelves here will be available to readers. More information on this will be provided by NSZL staff on duty in the Reference Center of the Library.

Reading Room of the Library of Book History, Library and Information will continue serving readers during its regular opening hours.

Replacement of server

2018/09/19

Dear Users,

One of the servers running our online services is down and out. Its content will be moved to a new server by the IT staff of NSZL. During the process, several of the Library’s online services will be unavailable for a shorter or longer period.

Services involved are the following: some of our thematic sites, reader catalog interface, telephone directory, reservation database and certain parts of the website of the Hungarian Library Institute.

Digital Library is out of service today

Due to technical reasons, Digital Library will be out of service on September 17, 2018. We apologize for the inconvenience.

 

Limited use of the General Reading Room

Based on Government Decree No. 1605/2016. (XI. 8.), a Digitization Center will be set up on Floor 8 of the Library building. All the necessary devices have been purchased and new staff has been hired.
