The 49th Roaming Conference of the Association of Hungarian Librarians (AHL) was held in Miskolc between July 5 and 7, 2017. Central theme of the roaming conference of AHL was the improvement of the quality of life of our narrower and wider social environment, as well as the study of its boundaries.

Chinese delegation visited NSZL

A Chinese delegation led by Dr. Zhu Qi, Deputy Director-General of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China paid a visit to our Library.

Guests were received by Géza Szőcs, President of the National Library Board of Hungary and László Tüske, Director-General of NSZL.

Annual summer closure

Mihály Bogáthy – book presentation

National Széchényi Library cordially invites you and your friends to the presentation ceremony of a book by Gábor Verrasztó entitled Mihály Bogáthy – Unfinished Biography. The event will take place in Boardroom 516 of NSZL, starting at 17:30 on Thursday June 29, 2017.

Theater historian Dr. Ildikó Sirató, Head of the Theater Collection of National Széchényi Library will have a discussion with the author, and the book will also be recommended by her.

Professional workshop days of priority project “Acting Communities – Active Community Involvement” (EFOP-1.3.1-15-2016-00001)

As part of priority project “Acting Communities – Active Community Involvement” (EFOP-1.3.1-15-2016-00001), professional workshop days will be held in Kecskemét (July 4, 2017) and Székesfehérvár (July 11, 2017) by implementer of the project, the consortium of Hungarian Open Air Museum, Hungarian Institute for Culture Nonprofit Public Ltd. and National Széchényi Library.
