To mark the anniversary of the 1848–1849 Revolution and War of Independence,
we are pleased to welcome our visitors with a whole day of free events!

 

 

Library building tour – Wandering around the Buda Castle Palace F Building

During the walk, our visitors can learn about the fascinating history of the building and discover parts of it that still preserve a small piece of the original royal palace.

Handicraft workshop

In our craft workshop, you can make a cocard, a spring fan, a floral cocotte and spring flower pictures.

From Replica to Facsimile – exhibition

The exhibition of the life's work of book artist Gyula Schöck presents his woodcuts, reproductions of cultural treasures of the Carpathian Basin, made over twenty-five years. You can also see a corvina of Mátyás, our best-known language monument, the Pray Codex with the Funeral Oration and Supplication, or the prayer book of Domonkos Kálmáncsehi.
