The Hungarian national library pays tribute to the memory of Sándor Sára, twice Kossuth Prize-winning director-cameraman, Artist of the Nation with unit still photographs of films directed and photographed by Sándor Sára, with details from the documentary series entitled Krónika (Chronicle), and with a portrait film about Sára, made in 1996 and kept by the Collection of Historical Interviews. At the exhibition held in National Széchényi Library, visitors can also have a look at the film posters of NSZL’s Collection of Posters and Small Prints, which are related to the artist who passed away on September 22, 2019.
At the vernissage of the exhibition, Sándor Sára's oeuvre will be appraised by film aesthete Gábor Gelencsér.
Opening ceremony: October 1, 2019, 3 p.m.
The exhibition will be open from September 27 until October 31, 2019, during the opening hours of the Library.

(The venue can be approached from Dózsa György Square by the Express Elevator, or by buses No. 16 or 16/A from Dísz Square via the Lion Court.)
Visitors who are not registered readers of NSZL can visit all of our temporary chamber exhibitions for a flat fee of HUF 400. Last admittance to the exhibition will be 1 hour prior to closure at the latest.
