
On 17th October 2025 an official delegation of the Zhejiang Publishing Group visited the National Széchényi Library (NSZL) to explore opportunities for future professional cooperation.
The representatives of the Chinese publishing corporation were received at the Library’s Buda Castle building by Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of the Director General’s Cabinet. The meeting was attended by Cheng Weiming, President of the Group; Li Weiyi, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Publishing; Wang Ji, President of Zhejiang Printing Group; Shen Hongjun, Deputy Director of the Group’s General Management Department; Dong Hua, Director of the Digital Integration Publishing Center of Zhejiang People’s Publishing House; and Yuan Jia, Copyright Manager of Zhejiang Juvenile and Children’s Publishing House.
During the visit, a small-scale professional meeting took place. Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski briefly presented the Library’s wide-ranging activities, followed by Dóra Kőszegi, staff member of the Legal Deposit and Publication Identifier Management Department, who gave an overview of the legal deposit system and its operation at the National Széchényi Library. As part of the programme, Dániel Görög, staff member of the Digital Preservation Department, delivered a presentation on preservation processes and developments.
In the second part of the visit, the guests took part in a library tour led by Zsófia Szádeczky-Kardoss, staff member of the Collection Development and Registration Department. The tour included a visit to the Library’s Digitalization Centre, where Gábor Klinger, Deputy Head of the Digital Preservation Department, provided a detailed overview of the unit’s achievements and operations.
The meeting took place in a friendly, open, and constructive atmosphere. Both parties expressed their intention to deepen cooperation in the future through concrete professional projects. The members of the Chinese delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and the meaningful professional programme.
