Exceptional closure on 7 and 8 August

In view of the prolonged heatwave and the heat alert, the National Széchényi Library will be closed on 7 and 8 August 2026.

Due to the exceptional weather conditions, our library services will not be available on 7 and 8 August 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday 11 August 2026 from 2.00 pm, in accordance with our summer opening hours!
