Extended opening hours from 1 April

Dear Readers, Visitors!

Please be informed that from 1 April 2022 our opening hours will change as follows: 

General Collection:  

  • Monday from 2 pm to 8 pm 
  • Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm 

Special Collections: 

Research in the reading rooms of the Special Collections is only available to our readers by appointment and seat reservation in advance. Please make your reservation at least 24 hours before your visit, if possible. If you are unable to come despite your reservation, please let us know so that we can make the reservation available to someone else. 

Requests for documents can be submitted until the end of working hours on the day before your planned visit, and for Saturday until Friday 1 pm.

  • Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm 
  • Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 5 pm 
  • Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm 

 Library of Book History, Library and Information Science: 

  • Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm 
  • Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm 
  • Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm 

Please note that requests for documents from the National Library’s closed stacks can be submitted:   

  • Monday between 2 and 5 pm 
  • Tuesday to Friday between 9 am and 7 pm 
  • Saturday between 9 am and 5 pm 

Our bookshop is closed on Mondays and welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
