New opening hours in the Library as of September 1

Dear Visitors!

We would like to inform you that the opening hours of National Széchényi Library will be changed as of September 1, 2015. We are waiting for our visitors in the Library Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

There have been changes in the reading space: our Multimedia Reading Room ceased to exist as an independent unit, its functions were taken over by the General Reading Room. From now on, multimedia documents are being serviced from our General Reading Room.

We have placed clusters of comfortable armchairs and nice glass tables in the middle section of our General Reading Room. Also, we would like to provide extra space for group learning by putting together two rows of desks. In this section of the Reading Room, visitors are allowed to talk in a low voice. Those of you who wish to read and work in complete silence are kindly asked to take seat in the southern wing, either in the Literature Science Reading Room or in the History Science reading Room.

The new opening hours of NSZL:

Registration:
Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Special Collections Reading Rooms:
Tuesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Submission of requests from the repository:
Tuesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Photocopying and scanning:
Tuesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Saturday, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

LIS Library:

• Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Thursday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Friday, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Inter-library loan:
Monday to Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Bookshop, Customer Service:
Tuesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. (lunch break: between 1 and 1:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The buffet keeps to its usual opening hours, waiting for our visitors Tuesday to Friday until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays, until 5 p.m.
