Our film 'My brethren, you see...' is now available to everyone on the NSZL Youtube channel. The film was screened on channel M5 on 22 January 2022, the Day of Hungarian Culture. 

The 70-minute documentary presents the highly valuable manuscript MNy 1 (Early Hungarian Text 1) treasuerd in the NSZL, the Pray Codex in Latin and the Funeral Sermon and Prayer known as the the first coherent Hungarian text, and follows the long process of making the decorative facsimile presented to Pope Francis. 

The process of creating the masterpiece, which took several months, was accompanied by the staff of the Historical Photo and Video Collection of the NSZL. The documentary is the result of this footage and interviews with the Director General of the NSZL, researchers, digitisation, bookbinding and restoration experts and special contributors. 

The facsimile of the Pray Codex was as a gift from the Government of Hungary to Pope Francis, who visited Hungary for the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress, and was presented to the Holy Father by President János Áder on 12 September 2021.
