Presentations of our colleagues at the conference entitled From Eötvös to Eötvös

To be held as part of the Eötvös 100 Memorial Year, the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University will hold a conference entitled From Eötvös to Eötvös on Tuesday November 19, 2019. At the afternoon session, two staff members of NSZL will deliver lectures, namely, Zsolt Vesztróczy: Minister under scrutiny (Ágoston Trefort’s education policy as judged by Béla Grünwald) and Domokos Dániel Kis: The role of paternal example and family relationships in Loránd Eötvös’ interest in natural sciences.

Topic of the conference will be the oeuvre of three ministers of religion and public education, politicians and scholars of the Age of Dualism: József Eötvös, Ágoston Trefort and Loránd Eötvös.
