The National Széchényi Library welcomed Jurijs Pogrebņaks, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia in Budapest on 2nd April 2025. The diplomatic visit aimed to deepen cultural and professional ties between the two countries.

The National Széchényi Library has once again received a significant international appreciation: in collaboration with the National Library of Scotland, it successfully applied for the Erland Kolding Nielsen Grant, which is funded by the Conference of European National Librarians.

Reading rooms and exhibitions of the library are closed between 18th and 21st April. On 22nd of April the library will be open as usual.
