Highly successful cooperation between the national library and the Haydneum

The Haydneum – Hungarian Centre for Early Music Foundation held its annual press conference on 17 April 2024, where the results of the joint cooperation with the Hungarian National Library were presented.

Significant book donation to the Pribeník Library in Slovakia

In line with its mission, the NSZL donated 453 books to the library of Pribeník on 11 April 2024 to improve its book collection. The NSZL also presented more than 140 colouring and activity books to local preschool and primary school children. 
The Forms of Time – The temporary exhibition in our library has opened

The National Library of Foreign Literature (OIK) reopened its doors on Saturday, 6 April 2024, with a public family day, which was dedicated to the world of the Lord of the Rings, including the ceremonial unveiling of the 100-volume Tolkien collection.

More cultural treasures made freely available by the NSZL on the National Day

The manuscripts of Ferenc Kölcsey’s prose works and six of his previously unknown poem fragments, manuscript letters and poems by Julia Szendrey, as well as 19th century photographs, including daguerreotypes of the Egressy family, have been made available to the public in the NSZL’s Copia and Fototér content service.
Chinese delegation visited our library

On 13 March 2024, Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General, and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of Cabinet, welcomed a three-member delegation from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to our institution.
