In the audio supplement of a recently published book entitled Halálos körhinta – Rácz Vali, a dizőz (Deadly Carousel –Vali Rácz, the Chanteuse), audio materials of a private collection can be accessed, in addition to dozens of soundtracks kept by the Music Collection of National Széchényi Library.

Hungarian Bohemian World, reprint edition of the Almanac of the Budapest Journalists’ Association 1908, reprints of I want to be loved by Endre Ady and Convalescent Wind by Miklós Radnóti, as well as a lot of other NSZL publications will be there at Festive Book Week 2019.

IFLA Library Reference Model (LRM) has been translated into Hungarian. IFLA LRM is a high-level conceptual reference model developed within an entity-relationship modelling framework. It is a basic document serving the renewal of library cataloging.

As part of the renewal of NSZL’s IT network infrastructure, devices of the internal network will be replaced. Services of the Library will not be available for several hours.

On May 30 and 31, 2019, three members of the staff of NSZL will deliver lectures at the international scientific conference of University of Pannonia, Veszprém. Title of the conference is Canon and Comparative Studies. The Polyphony of Canons in an East Central European Context.

On May 24, 2019, Ali Sarlak, professor of Tehran Art University was received by Dr. László Tüske, Director-General of National Széchényi Library.

NSZL staff member Rita Radó, who is also a PhD student at ELTE LIS (Eötvös Loránd University, Institute of Library & Information Science), will deliver a lecture entitled Digital document and collection analysis – using qualitative and quantitative methods based on FADGI- and library strandards guidelines at the QQML conference in Florence.

With the Head of NSZL’s Music Collection elected, Salzburg-based Akademie für Mozart-Forschung (Academy for Mozart Research) has now two Hungarian members.

With the support of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, a CERL Seminar organized by National Széchényi Library and the Association of the Ecclesiastical Libraries will be held on May 31, 2019. Entitled Digital Technologies in the Investigation of Handwritten and Printed Heritage, the seminar to be held on the premises of NSZL will feature speakers including several research fellows and staff members of the Hungarian national library.
