You are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of the interactive exhibition entitled Memories’89 – At the Border of a New Era, which focuses on memories of the change in political regime. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. on Friday April 26, 2019 in the Manuscriptorium Exhibition Space of NSZL’s Manuscript Collection.
An interactive photo exhibition of personal memories of the change in political regime will be opened in NSZL.

Research of a mysterious Persian manuscript discovered in Pannonhalma will be presented by the next, April lecture of Season 4 of cultural historical series entitled “Orientalits in NSZL”. As part of the series featuring internationally renowned Hungarian researchers into the East, the lecture will be delivered by Éva Jeremiás, Iranist, professor emerita of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE).

The Library Choir of NSZL cordially invites you and your friends to the concert of Lajos Bárdos Society to be held on April 6, 2019 at the Old Academy of Music.
The exhibition entitled Unity and Variety. The Armenian Bible and Religious Tradition, opening on March 25, 2019, will present the first three complete Armenian Bible editions and many family relics, as well as objects related to the religious practices of Transylvanian Armenians.

In recognition of his outstanding literary activity, our colleague Dr. László Boka was awarded Attila József Prize.
Our traditional exhibition presenting the best of maps produced by the Hungarian map making community in 2018 will be open in the Ceremonial Hall of NSZL (on Floor 6 of the building) between March 29 and April 13, 2019.

My Dime Memories – in April 2019, we are organizing a crowdsourced exhibition in Budapest to reflect upon stories from 1989 and how its changes impacted on everyday life, and we need your input. Until April 5, we invite you to share with us any memorabilia, including family and other photographs, personal items and objects, recalling the period of the regime change.
