Red Stars exhibition – finissage

The 70th anniversary of the expropriation of Hungarian theaters will be remembered by the last curator-guided tour of the exhibition entitled Red Stars from 5 p.m. on October 11, 2019. Documents not presented at the exhibition and stories evoking the years of Stalinism will be featured.

National Széchényi Library takes part in a European educational, research and cultural project entitled Kaleidoscope, the Fifties in Europe, featuring the photographic heritage of the 1950s in Europe.
Summer closure

National Széchényi Library will be entirely closed from July 22 until August 21, 2019. As of August 22, 2019, the reading rooms of the Special Collections and the General Collection will be open to readers in the usual opening hours.
