At 5 p.m. on April 25, 2018, Professor István Vásáry will deliver a lecture entitled Survival of the Turkish-Mongolian tradition in the Persian and Turkish chancelleries of Timur and the Timurids (1370–1506) in National Széchényi Library.

Based on a cooperation agreement signed previously by the two institutions, Professor Krasimira Aleksandrova, Directress of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library of Bulgaria and some of her colleagues paid a visit to National Széchényi Library. The main aim of the meeting was to identify relics of early Bulgarian book printing kept in NSZL.

Under the subtitle Devotion and Visual Information Flow in Late Medieval Europe, a German-language conference will be held in the Library on April 18, 2018. The conference will focus on a typological picture book by Cistercian author Ulrich von Lilienfeld, dating back circa 1350.

At 5 p.m. on Thursday March 29, 2018, presentation ceremony of a book by Katalin Piroska and István Piroska will be held in NSZL. The second volume of a two-part work on the history of Hungarian acting in Arad focuses on the period between 1905 and 1948.
