The Life-work of András Sütő

This bulky volume published by National Széchényi Library and the Pro-Print Publishing House of Csíkszereda is a result of the years-long research of bibliographer Péter Kuszálik, and an indispensable database of special importance for all the researchers of Sütő’s literary work in the present and future. László Boka in his preface summarizes the book’s significance with these words: „Péter Kuszálik collected and elaborated a huge deal of data, facing consciously all the challenges and tricky points of this endeavor. [...] Apart from the history of reception and effect, the invaluable importance of this bibliography lies in its logical and comprehensible structure, its chronology, and of course, the annotations.”

The volume contains 5700 items, a number that reflects the scale of the work completed on 31 December 2007 and its purpose of offering the reader a most complete image of Sütő’s voluminous life-work, including the publication and reception of the individual titles. The features and structure of the bibliography are explained by the author himself to facilitate efficient use.
