The reorganization of the Catholic Church in Nagyenyed took place in 1727. A trilingual (Hungarian, German, Romanian) preface tells about the two Franciscan friars Mór Jánosi and János Orbai who arrived to the town, and the history of the Franciscan church and monastery with its library and stock. As the books were collected by Franciscan friars, the majority of them are of religious and devotional character, written by authors of the Catholic Church.

The four catalogues that remained, the first item of which is from 1729 and the last contains the books confiscated after the nationalization in 1948, make up a unified database that now becomes available for the researchers in the edition by Emese Rácz as part of the Old Books of the Hungarian Libraries in the Carpathian Basin series. The volume includes an index of manuscripts, printing press locations, owners, typographers, publishers, authors, possessors and chalcographers.
